CHICKENFOOT Booking Shows Starting In May

March 21, 2009

CHICKENFOOT — the new supergroup featuring guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, singer Sammy Hagar (ex-VAN HALEN),bassist Michael Anthony (ex-VAN HALEN),and drummer Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) — is in the process of booking shows starting in May. Anthony says, Sammy, Chad, Joe and I are totally psyched up, and ready to bash 'hard' with all of you. Personally, it's been waaaaaay to long since I've been out on tour and cannot wait to party down with all of you, so stay tuned as everything unfolds. See you this summer."

CHICKENFOOT is expected to hit clubs in the U.S. first before heading to Europe during the summer, then coming back for a larger North American run in the fall.

CHICKENFOOT played a private concert on March 18, 2009 at the Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, California for employees of Best Buy. Anthony says, "It was great!!! We played for about 45 minutes and rocked the house!!"

CHICKENFOOT will release its self-titled debut disc this spring. The first single from the CD will either be "Oh, Yeah!" or "Bitten By The Wolf".

Two full songs — "Soap On A Rope" and "Down The Drain" — are available for streaming on the CHICKENFOOTMySpace page.

The group plans to perform songs from each of its members'careers in addition to tracks from the CHICKENFOOT album, so fans will get to hear songs from VAN HALEN, the CHILI PEPPERS, Satriani, and Hagar's solo catalog.

CHICKENFOOT will appear on the cover of the June issue of Guitar World, due out on April 7.
